The city of Ekaterinburg
Holding the piano duos competition in memory of A.G. Bakhchiev is a major responsibility for us and for our city.
It is hard to overestimate the contribution of the «Golden duo» of A.G. Bakhchiev and E.G. Sorokina to the development of ensemble performance in Russia and worldwide.
We would like as many young musicians as possible, as well as their teachers, to take part in the competition, so that the participants learn and remember the name of the outstanding musician A.G. Bakhchiev, love music and ensemble playing as wholeheartedly as he did, and strive to learn, hear and play as many wonderful compositions as possible.
